Situated in Pakistan's Sindth province lies the ancient city of Mohenjodaro. The site was discovered in the 1920's and has been dated to 5000 years old! Archaeologists say that the city was part of the Harrapan civilization and once had a thriving population of at least 35,000 people. Most of Mohenjodaro remains unexcavated and the remnants of their mysterious script has yet to be deciphered to this day. (More Photos)

There are many ruins scattered throughout this ancient site but one of the most incredible structures found here is the Great Bath. It is considered the earliest public water tank to be found in the ancient world. It measures 897 square feet and has a depth of 2.4 meters. Scholars believe that the bath was used for ritual bathing. Mohenjodaro remains one of the largest and most mysterious ancient destinations in the world.
